I visited Steenberg Farm yesterday for a wine tasting. The people that are working there are so nice and I really enjoyed the wine tasting. Afterwards, we had a cheese & charcuterie platter at the Bistro with a bottle of Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay MCC. The cheeses were great, especially the Blue Cheese and the Chardonnay MCC terrific! Also they had some kind of orange marmelade which was really delicious. I will definitely come back.

The wines have been a let-down for me personally, although the MagnaCarta is quite something unique (expensive though). The setting is beautiful, the service is good, and Bistro1862 probably has one of the better Eggs Benedict in the Cape. Worth a Sunday brunch visit!
