What a special place, we went for a Sunday picnic here. Imagine lounging in a beautiful garden in beanbags with a basket filled of beautiful food (3 courses) and a nice Boschendal wine to the side. Furthermore, it's a great place to go for a stroll as well (gardens, old houses etc.). Do it :).

Fantastic vineyard! We have been a few times as it is a very tempting stop on the way to Franschoek. We also walked in their vegetable garden, which was beautiful and good to see their fresh produce.

Boschendal was our first winery and we decided to stay there the entire day. We started with a small breakfast and ended our day with an amazing picknick while enjoying their local wine. The products are delicious, the environment beautiful and very relaxed. Therefore we ended back up here two days later for another breakfast. We definitely recommend taking time for visiting Boschendal !

What an amazing place! we first went horseback riding with two guys. All four of us were on a horse so if you are an expierenced rider you're able to go in gallop. I'm not that experienced so I left it with walking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The guy who stayed with me was able to tell a lot about the surrounding, the land, history of the place. After the horseback riding we had a picnic which also was amazing. More than enough food, which all was very delicious, especially the chocolate cake with merengue. I definitely recommend you to spend a hole afternoon at this place!

At Boschendal we went for the horseback riding and afterwards the picknick. The horseback riding was amazing! You see a lot more of the estate then by foot. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced rider or not, the guys from the horses will adjust to your wishes. The picknick was really great! But 1 picknick basket is enough for 4 people instead of 2. Fantastic Place to visit, but keep in mind that the picknick is a little more expensive to what you are used to in ZA.
